We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to lead documentation standardization, bridge institutional knowledge gaps, and support our enterprise Cybersecurity Program and Documentation Recovery initiative.
Position Details- Location: Spartanburg, SC (Local travel to area facilities required)
- Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
- Interview Process: Resume & portfolio review followed by 1 panel interview with IT leadership and subject-matter experts.
- Author SOPs, runbooks, infrastructure guides
, and knowledge-base articles. - Create and update disaster recovery, incident response
, and business continuity plans. - Design technical workflows, process maps, and architecture visual aids using MS Visio
. - Collaborate directly with IT subject-matter experts across infrastructure, applications, and security.
- Organize document libraries, manage metadata, and enforce standardized versioning control.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical writing experience in complex IT/technology environments.
- Core Tools: Advanced MS 365 (Word, SharePoint) and MS Visio
. - Strong expertise in information architecture
, document organization, and technical editing. - Portfolio Submission
Required:
2 3 sanitized documentation samples (SOPs, runbooks, Visio diagrams, or recovery documentation).
Experience with NIST, CIS, or ITIL frameworks; public sector or highly regulated environment experience; CPTC or ITIL certifications.
