Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, OR equivalent relevant professional experience.
5+ years of demonstrated technical-writing experience producing professional documentation for complex IT or technology environments.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Word and SharePoint, plus Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and related collaboration tools.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Visio for technical diagrams, workflows, process maps, and supporting visuals.
Demonstrated experience producing SOPs, runbooks, system documentation, operational procedures, knowledge articles, or comparable technical deliverables.
Strong editing, information-architecture, document-organization, formatting, and quality-control skills.
Ability to work directly with technical SMEs across infrastructure, applications, service delivery, cybersecurity, or similar IT disciplines.
Preferred SkillsCertified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC), ITIL Foundation, or comparable technical-writing/IT certification.
Experience documenting cybersecurity, infrastructure, incident response, disaster recovery, business continuity, or IT service-management environments.
Experience with documentation recovery, knowledge-management, or large-scale documentation-standardization initiatives.
Experience designing and administering SharePoint-based documentation libraries, templates, metadata, and lifecycle practices.
Familiarity with ITIL, NIST, CIS, or other recognized IT/security frameworks.
Government or other highly regulated environment experience.
