Manufacturing Engineer
- Develop, edit, and maintain CNC programs using NX CAM or similar CAM platforms for milling, turning, grinding, EDM, and multi-axis machining.
- Validate new programs through simulation tools such as Vericut before production release.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineers on new equipment launches, rebuilt machines, and process optimization initiatives.
- Provide hands‑on programming assistance and troubleshooting support to machine operators.
- Help define and implement tooling and fixturing solutions for CNC operations.
- Create and maintain machining methods, setup documentation, and workstation instructions.
- Lead or contribute to initiatives that improve safety, product quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.
- Communicate effectively across cross‑functional teams and contribute within a matrixed organization.
- Adapt to a dynamic production environment and support continuous improvement efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or trade/apprenticeship credential in machining, manufacturing, or related field plus 3+ years of CAM‑based CNC programming experience
- High school diploma/GED plus 6+ years of CAM‑based CNC programming experience
- At least 3 years of NX CAM programming experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience programming 5‑axis CNC machining environments
- Familiarity with advanced control features such as macro/subroutine programming, probing cycles (e.g., Renishaw), variable programming, and closed‑loop machining concepts
- Experience developing or troubleshooting post processors, ideally using NX Post Configurator
- Background using CNC simulation/verification tools such as Vericut
- Exposure to multiple CNC control platforms (Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Siemens, etc.)
- Experience with large‑scale precision grinding or similar high‑accuracy machining
- Experience machining aerospace or power‑generation materials, including high‑temperature superalloys
