OpSource Direct has partnered with a manufacturer in Spartanburg, SC seeking a Tool & Die Supervisor.
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift (5 x 8-hour days)
Pay: $100k/yr.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Supervisor to lead our day-shift toolroom operations in a high-volume stamping environment. This position is responsible for supervising hourly Tool & Die associates, planning daily work activities, ensuring preventive maintenance completion, and supporting production uptime. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong die maintenance experience who can balance technical expertise with team development and operational planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead hourly Tool & Die Makers and apprentices
- Plan and prioritize daily die repairs and preventive maintenance work
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance to support uptime goals
- Ensure scheduled preventive maintenance is completed and documented
- Monitor die performance and address recurring issues
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
- Support die tryouts, engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment
- Maintain organized, efficient toolroom operations (5S standards)
Required
- Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in stamping die maintenance and repair
- Strong knowledge of progressive and/or transfer dies
- Blueprint reading proficiency
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing production dies
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience working in a high-volume stamping facility
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong leadership and team development abilities
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Accountability and results-driven mindset
This position operates within a manufacturing stamping facility and requires adherence to all safety and PPE requirements.
