* Own the process for selecting top OEE improvement opportunities and lead cross-functional TEAms to create an action plan to meet or exceed OEE goals on a minimum of a quarterly basis.
* Track and update reports and metrics on weekly OEE data for the site.
* Provide immediate feedback and coaching to Supervisors, Leads, and associates on the floor in tracking downtime, completing compliance checks, and using all other already established continuous improvement tools.
* Develop process and train associates to track scrap during the production and brew processes. Analyze data to identify scrap reduction projects and work with Operational Excellence TEAm to replicate at all Milo’s sites.
* Lead the development of scope for capital projects by evaluating OEE data, creating justification, obtain consensus on decision points and communicate to stakeholders, ensure successful implementation of the scoped project by working closely with the Plant Engineer, and verify effectiveness of the project.
* Develop centerline documentation for each machine center, work with engineering and maintenance to create tools to ensure centerlines are easily set, and create a system to ensure centerlines are verified on a periodic basis.
* Support plant expansions including adding new production lines by ensuring continuous improvement tools and training materials are in place prior to startup. Track OEE performance and top opportunities during startup. Develop working relationships with OEMs to maximize machine performance.
* Create training materials and train departments (e.g. Production, Logistics, Quality, Maintenance) in using continuous improvement tools such as 5S, RCAs (Root Cause Analysis), Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and Lean concepts. Incorporate the training material into appropriate sustainable training areas: orientation, HPWS, Milo’s University.
* Update and create SOPs as needed.
* Lead Kaizens and RCAs as needed.
* Lead and support cost improvement initiatives using SPC data analysis.
* Provide downtime and yield data on New Product Development trials as requested by New Product Development TEAm.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* This job is expected to be on the floor approximately 30-50% of the time.
* Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10% in order to support other site’s continuous improvement systems and initiatives implementations.
* Bachelor's Degree in Op Management, Engineering, or Supply Chain OR relevant experience in Manufacturing CI
* 5+ years of manufacturing and 2 years of Continuous Improvement experience preferred
* Experience in the food manufacturing industry preferred
* Project management skills preferred
* Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to all within the company.
* Able to establish and sustain effective relationships with all stakeholders to foster an environment where innovation and cooperation are used to solve problems.
* Able to influence others through demonstrated competence and respect with data and facts.
* Able to manage multiple projects/tasks and adjust priorities as necessary.
* Must have a high attention to detail and organizational skills necessary to progress on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization and manufacturing systems tools (Power BI, ERP, MES, etc.) preferred.
* Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
