OpSource Staffing of Spartanburg is currently looking for Forklift Operator/Material Handler for a local BMW supplier, located in Spartanburg, SC. This position is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking stability and growth in their careers.

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials around the warehouse, as well as performing other duties as assigned by management. Shift for this position:

• 10:30pm-5:45am, 3rd starts on Sunday night

Pay for this position:

• $19.50

Job duties may include:

• Operating Forklifts: Maneuvering forklifts to transport materials, goods, and equipment, including loading and unloading trucks, railcars, and ships.
• Loading and Unloading: Handling materials manually, off or on to pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices.
• Inventory Management: Ensuring accurate inventory by verifying and documenting the quantity and condition of items received and shipped, sometimes using RF scanning equipment.
• Material Handling: Moving materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks.
• Pallet Building and Picks: Assembling and disassembling pallets of goods, often following production schedules.
• Ensuring Load Safety: Ensuring loads are properly centered and secured for transport.
• Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine checks and maintenance on forklifts, reporting any malfunctions or safety hazards.

Physical:

• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, etc.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis

Qualifications for the position:

• High School Diploma or GED is a plus but not required.
• Willing to work overtime if needed.
• Willing to work some weekends if needed.
• Dependability is a must

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED

Language Skills:

Ability to write simple correspondence. Able to speak English in a fluent manner. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Basic math, and basic common sense.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Forklift Certification preferred
