Our client, a precision manufacturing and engineering company serving the aerospace and defense industries
, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Spartanburg, SC
.

They will support process optimization, equipment performance, and product development within a high‑precision production environment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in CNC programming, manufacturing processes, and industrial engineering, with experience in high‑precision manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and assembly line operations to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Program and troubleshoot CNC machines, including 5‑axis CNC programming using Mastercam, ensuring reliable and unattended operation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve production, quality, or equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Design and support tooling, fixtures, and fabrication processes required for manufacturing operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives including Lean manufacturing and ISO 9001 process improvements.
  • Support robotics integration, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, and upgrades to maximize machine uptime and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on production planning, process development, and factory layout improvements.
  • Support quality control technologies such as vision inspection systems for defect detection.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards within manufacturing and fabrication environments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly operations, and tooling design.
  • Experience with CNC programming (CAM, GD&T) and Mastercam, including 5‑axis machining.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis using structured problem‑solving tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone).
  • Experience working in a high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing environment producing small precision components.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross‑functional manufacturing environment.
