Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our practice with a focus on functional medicine, perioperative medical optimization in orthopedic patients, and personalized physiology-driven care. This role emphasizes proactive, root-cause medicine aimed at improving recovery, performance, hormonal balance, metabolic health, and overall patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive functional medicine evaluations, including advanced laboratory interpretation and lifestyle assessment
- Optimize patients medically before and after orthopedic procedures to improve healing, reduce complications, and enhance recovery
- Develop personalized treatment plans focused on hormone optimization, metabolic health, inflammation control, and physiologic resilience
- Manage therapies including hormone replacement, peptide-based protocols (where appropriate), nutritional strategies, and performance optimization
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and ancillary providers
- Monitor outcomes using data-driven protocols and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Educate patients on lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, stress, and performance factors that influence recovery and long-term health
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, or similar)
- Strong interest or experience in functional medicine, hormone optimization, and integrative physiology
- Experience with perioperative management preferred, particularly in orthopedic populations
- Comfortable interpreting advanced labs and managing hormone therapy
- Collaborative, patient-centered mindset with strong communication skills
