Travel RN - Neonatal ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a Level II/III neonatal ICU with NRP Advanced certification and at least 2 years of NICU experience required.

• Active SC or Compact RN license required
• Pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required, though 1 year may be considered case-by-case
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and NRP Advanced
• STABLE certification preferred
• Conscious sedation and ventilator skills preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

• NICU Level II & III setting
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 2, 3, or 4 depending on acuity
• On-call responsibilities may include late stay if needed
• Epic charting system experience preferred but not required
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Holiday coverage required: either 1 holiday with 2 on-call/additional shifts per 6 weeks, or 2 holidays with no on-call/additional shifts
• All RTO must be submitted during the initial submission process; requests made afterward will not be considered
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff of the health system are not eligible to return as travelers
• Pass/fail Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test required during orientation, with only one attempt allowed
• Moderate Sedation Test also required for NICU during orientation
• Attendance policy in effect: missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation
