Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Full Time Armed in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a financial institution construction location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism.
You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of financial institution facilities, construction areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Carry and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company procedures, and site‑specific policies.
- At least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
