Job Responsibilities- Develops plumbing maintenance and repair program throughout the facility.
- Performs maintenance on all sewers, water distribution systems, building storm drains and other systems related to plumbing or pipe fitting.
- Supervises and installs plumbing and related systems in construction/renovation projects within the facility.
- Establishes on-call procedures to respond to emergency plumbing maintenance and repair calls and ensures the work is promptly and properly performed.
- Supervises the operation and maintenance of plumbing facilities sewage disposal equipment to ensure compliance with standards prescribed by the SCDHEC.
- Determines requirements for plumbing supplies and equipment and prepares justification for and requisitions all supplies.
- Remains abreast of new plumbing techniques, procedures and equipment in functional area and recommends the procurement of and assists in supervising the installation of new plumbing and sewage disposal equipment.
- Orients new employees and administers training.
Must successfully complete four (4) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air, water, gas or waste disposal systems. Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis.

Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and 5 years of experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air, water, gas, or waste disposal systems.
