Labor & Delivery Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Trusted is seeking an experienced nurse for this travel nursing assignment. This position is a travel role; local not allowed. Candidates must reside >100 miles from the facility and have the appropriate licensure and credentials.

• Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and newborn care settings
• Assess adults and neonates, interpret EFM (external fetal monitoring) and intervene as needed
• Support care for sick newborns in Level 2A nursery; assist with gyn-surgical/post-op needs as required
• Float to multiple units as assigned within scope of practice (including med/surg)
• Work with Epic electronic medical record system as applicable
• Adhere to shift rotations and on-call requirements as defined by unit leadership

• Experience: 12 months of RN experience in L&D or related obstetric/gynecology areas; some experience in the last 12 months preferred
• Travel experience: Required
• Software: Experience with Epic preferred
• Licensure: South Dakota license or compact license (required after submission)
• Other: Must reside >100 miles from facility; COVID vaccination required after submission (religious and medical declinations accepted)
• 12 months between staff at Program:
  Simpli Fi Program – Monument Health
• Two references from the last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor) required for submission

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• Level 2A Nursery – care for sick babies
• Gyn-surgical/post-op experience preferred; other staff may cover if not comfortable

• Weekend rotation: every other weekend
• On call: per census and LOC rotation
• Floating requirements:
  Med/surg – as needed; may be within CNA scope
• Maximum time off: 7 days

• Must have a South Dakota license or compact license
• Must be willing to float to multiple units
• Travel only (local not allowed)
