Position Overview
Black Hills State University is seeking a full‑time Senior Building Maintenance Worker in the Building & Grounds department.
This role is responsible for renovating campus structures, performing carpentry maintenance as needed, and assisting with groundskeeping.
Responsibilities- Renovate existing campus structures.
- Perform necessary carpentry maintenance as they arise.
- Assist with groundskeeping tasks.
- Schedule installation of projects.
- General carpentry skills.
- Proficient with necessary tools of the trade.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints.
- Professional, clear, and concise communication.
- Ability to work effectively with others, demonstrating a tactful approach.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
- Climb ladders and stairs.
- Work after hours or on call as needed.
Pay: $18.45 per hour.
Hours:
6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday‑Friday. 12‑month term, 100% appointment.
