** Position Highlights
**** Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
**** Responsibilities:
*** The Radiation Oncology Nurse is responsible for providing direct and indirect physical, psychosocial and spiritual care for patients with cancer and other related disease processes.
* The oncology nurse will also act as the patient's advocate and educator.
** Requirements:*
* * Active IA RN license
* 1 year RN experience preferred
* Oncology Certification is preferred
* Possess strong organizational and communication skills
* Team orientated approach and adaptable to change/flexible
* BLS is required or willing to obtain upon hire
* Complete 12 oncology-specific continuing education hours per year for department accreditation requirements

* Schedule:

*** Part-time benefit eligible
* 40 hours/pp
* 2-3 days per week
* The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the hospital
