Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for post-operative and acute care patients requiring hospitalization
• Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
• Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
• Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements:

• Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
• IA RN license or compact state
• BLS and ACLS - inhouse certification available upon hire
• New grads encouraged to apply - Nurse Residency Program upon hire!

Schedule:

• 72 hours a pay period
• 12 hour Day/Night Shift
• Holidays and weekends rotation
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
