Position: Registered Nurse Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU)-7

Job Title:

Registered Nurse Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU)

As a Registered Nurse Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU), you will provide specialized care for patients who are critically ill or have life-threatening conditions in the Intensive Care Unit. You will monitor patients closely, administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the highest quality of care to patients.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assess and monitor patients' condition, vital signs, and symptoms.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Perform invasive procedures such as inserting central lines, intubation, and ventilator management.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous education to stay up-to-date with best practices.
    • Qualifications and Skills
  • Valid RN license in the state of practice.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Intensive Care Unit.
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
