Our ideal candidate is a self‑motivated, hard‑working, dependable Sales Representative to service the state of Iowa. The position is responsible for establishing and developing business relationships with prospective customers and some current customers in the assigned territory/market. Training will be provided for all aspects of the position. We will give you the tools necessary to complete the job the Mahaska way.
Qualifications- Previous sales experience is helpful.
- Ability to drive daily between client locations.
- Relates well to others – is comfortable approaching new people and developing relationships with key stakeholders at new accounts; thrives on making the sale and closing a deal.
- Attention to Detail – is thorough with good follow through.
- Communication Skills – is skilled with communicating both verbally and in writing to a wide range of constituents; comfortable leading sales presentations to a large audience.
- Customer Service Skills – works with external customers to provide a positive experience.
- Computer and technical skills – the ability to learn new technology and explain to others.
- Problem Solving Skills – the ability to identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of information, and use sound judgement to generate and recommend solutions.
- Organizational Skills – the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure while prioritizing effectively.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Must be 21 years of age or older, maintain a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
- Must have a positive attitude, be able to multitask, and adapt well to changing environments.
