We are looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our team in the Spokane - Coeur d Alene area. The role involves ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards, maintaining financial models, and collaborating with various stakeholders to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

- Review customer contracts to identify performance obligations and analyze terms that impact revenue recognition.

- Develop and maintain revenue recognition models for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Update monthly revenue forecasts and expenditure reports in coordination with project managers.

- Conduct critical evaluations of forecast changes to assess their impact on revenue recognition.

- Establish and implement processes and controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Prepare analytical reports on revenue and unbilled receivables to support financial decision-making.

- Manage customer invoicing and reconcile balance sheets related to revenue recognition on a monthly basis.

- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to address financial discrepancies and optimize processes.

- Assist in documenting and communicating revenue recognition judgments in partnership with the Revenue Manager.

- Promote a positive and collaborative team environment while contributing to organizational success.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.

- Active CPA is required.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in revenue recognition accounting, with knowledge of percentage-of-completion methods.

- Experience in public accounting, preferably with Big 4 firms, is highly desirable.

- Ability to work independently, identify issues early, and propose actionable solutions.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, alongside excellent organizational abilities.

- Detail-oriented with the capability to manage tasks and projects from start to finish.
