JOB SUMMARY

Performs accounting tasks in collaboration with internal departments, ensure the accuracy of our financial information, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to regulations, and perform general ledger entries and account reconciliations. In addition, the candidate will also prepare and assist with internal and external audit requests as well as yearly tax information.

  • Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information.
  • Performing audits on financial data to assure its accuracy.
  • Ensuring that financial information complies with regulatory standards.
  • Aligning general ledger accounting practices to support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and intercompany entries into the general ledger on a monthly basis, as well as preparing reports.
  • Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct.
  • Reconciling accounts with the general ledger.
  • Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping.
  • Following best practices in accounting.
  • Assisting the Manager of Financial Reporting in the preparation of Form
    10‑Q and Form
    10‑K by preparing footnotes and document review through preparation of tie‑out binder.
  • Assists with monthly financial information for internal distribution and for the Board of Directors.
  • Prepares quarterly audit information for internal and external audits.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
  • Attends meetings as needed to support organization activity.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, to achieve corporate and departmental objectives.
  • May be required to work with external auditors in relation to Sarbanes Oxley testing and fiscal year audit/review related issues.
QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, related field. or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Sound written and oral communication skills; must be able to write and understand routine reports, follow oral and written instructions, and speak effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and work with diverse groups of people.
  • Must have knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment and be familiar with commonly used email, Internet, word processing, databases and spreadsheets.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and materials. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
