We are looking for an accounting professional to support the accounting and financial reporting of the company’s projects and fixed assets. The role focuses on modernizing processes through technology, supporting GAAP compliance, and transitioning from legacy systems to a new ERP platform.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly close entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Analyze accounting transactions, identify issues, research applicable guidance, and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Support compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and SOX procedures.
- Collaborate with internal customers, auditors, regulators, and cross‑functional teams to support business and reporting needs.
- Contribute to process improvements, efficiencies, and documentation across accounting activities.
- Support the modernization of accounting processes and data through financial systems and technology‑enabled solutions.
- Support the transition of accounting processes and data from legacy systems to a new ERP platform, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist with ERP configuration, testing, and implementation activities related to projects, fixed assets, and related accounting processes.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Information Technology, and business partners to map current processes to ERP functionality and identify process improvements and efficiencies.
- Support data conversion, reconciliation, internal controls, and SOX compliance activities associated with ERP implementation and ongoing system enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, general business, tax, or statistics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting theory and general practices.
- Demonstrated advanced understanding of the accounting field and good understanding of the company’s business processes and operations.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Considerable knowledge of accounting theory and practices.
- Demonstrated depth of technical competency indicating mastery of the subject area.
- Demonstrated knowledge and big‑picture understanding of major business processes and operations.
- 8+ years of progressive responsibility in accounting.
- Capacity to work with peers, external auditors, and management.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory rules.
- Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced technical expertise and independent decision‑making ability.
- Initiative, ownership, and accountability.
- Informal leadership preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, general business, tax, or statistics preferred.
Spokane, Washington (Spokane, WA ). Hybrid work is available: the successful candidate will be required to work at our headquarters at least 3 days per week, including Mondays and Tuesdays, with additional days determined by the manager.
