Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Controller. This pivotal role involves overseeing accounting functions, financial reporting, job cost accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and maintaining strong internal controls. Duties

• Oversee all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Monitor job costing, Work-in-Progress (WIP), project profitability, and revenue recognition.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate annual audits and work with external CPA firms.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Support project managers by providing accurate financial forecasts and ensuring timely completion of all financial documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, with construction accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects efficiently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction accounting software such as Sage or similar ERP systems.
• Extensive knowledge of construction management software like Pro Core for project documentation and collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets, contracts, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
