Crux Subsurface is a geotechnical and foundation construction contractor working on projects across the United States and into Canada. Our payroll function supports a workforce that spans multiple states, prevailing wage projects, and union agreements - which means this role requires precision, not routine.
About the RoleThe Payroll Specialist supports the Payroll Manager in ensuring our field and office employees are paid accurately and on time, every pay cycle. This is a detail-driven role at the intersection of compliance and operations: you'll be reviewing timecards, reconciling data across systems, and assisting with certified payroll and union reporting - work that directly affects both our people and our standing on regulated projects.
This is not a role where errors go unnoticed. It's built for someone who takes accuracy seriously and wants to build real expertise in construction payroll compliance, not just process transactions.
