Senior Buyer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our procurement team. The Senior Buyer will be a motivated and organized individual who plays a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services necessary for our manufacturing process. This position requires a strategic mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain management within equipment manufacturing.

You have Supply Chain experience. You have in depth knowledge of quality standards and industry best practices related to procurement and supply chain management.

• Lead initiatives to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and establish long-term partnerships that align with the company’s objectives and quality standards.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and ensure compliance with contracts.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials and components.
• Negotiate favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards, to secure advantageous contracts and minimize supply chain disruptions.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics, conduct regular supplier audits, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure supplier requirements are met through root cause analysis and corrective actions that eliminate the root cause in the future.

• Develop and execute procurement strategies and processes to align with company goals.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers for favorable pricing, terms, and contracts.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, value engineering, and alternative sourcing strategies without compromising product quality or delivery timelines.
• Proactively identify potential supply chain risks, develop contingency plans, and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure continuity of supply.
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings and prepare business cases for review with leadership.
• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier performance to identify cost savings and opportunities.
• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including preparing bid documents, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.

• Work with internal departments to understand their needs and ensure procurement aligns with their requirements.
• Work closely with cross functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and project management to align procurement activities with production schedules, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Address and resolve issues related to billing, shipping, or supplier performance.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
