JOB SUMMARY:
This position is a corporate liaison for and between all departments on production scheduling and related production activities. Will develop, monitor, and maintain Master Production Build Schedules, and will interface with customers on all order fulfillment activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)Receives customer demand in forecast and purchase order forms, and analyzes information for changes and feasibility.
Enters and maintains all customer order activities in compliance with the established business agreements/contracts of assigned accounts, and company and department procedures.
Develops, publishes and maintains the global Master Production Schedule for assigned accounts.
Initiates appropriate corrective actions to production schedules when dictated by changes in business.
Facilitates the expediting/de-expediting of all schedule changes.
Responds to customer inquiries on open/closed orders, product availability, lead-times, and pricing.
Other duties assigned by manager.
Participates in the Change Control Board activities that include the coordinating of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) effectivity with Purchasing, Scheduling, and Production.
SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED:
Under limited supervision by the Corporate Global Demand Manager this position will develop the corporate build plans and administer the order fulfillment activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School or equivalent and/or Associate’s degree in business.
Five years’ experience in the manufacturing planning field and/or college related courses.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business data with some knowledge of spreadsheets and general accounting practices.
Present information and respond to questions from all levels of associates and the customer.
Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to write and understand routine reports, follow oral and written instructions, and speak effectively.
Must be accurate, with a strong attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and work with diverse groups of people.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.).Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and materials. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related technical field.
APICS certification with considerable experience using MRP planning software.
