Safety / Admin Coordinator
Power City Electric is the largest electrical contractor in Eastern Washington. We are hiring a full‑time Safety / Admin Coordinator to join our Spokane team. The role supports the Safety Manager and Operations Team with administrative tasks, regulatory compliance and project coordination.
Responsibilities- Support the company’s fuel card program: issue and cancel cards, review and code monthly bills and identify billing problems.
- Obtain and review annual driving records for all drivers, track high‑risk drivers.
- Assist with the drug‑testing program for new hires and random annual tests.
- Coordinate with the Fleet Manager to track use and maintenance of trucks, heavy equipment and trailers.
- Maintain the company’s social media accounts and website updates.
- Track employee safety training and update records in HR software.
- File OSHA 300 forms and other regulatory reports.
- Manage PPE inventory and assign equipment to employees.
- Communicate IT issues to the outsourced provider.
- Help move projects toward completion with project administration tasks (production, distribution, file management, data collection, report creation).
- Ensure all contract goals, reporting and regulatory requirements are met.
- Prepare and analyze weekly project status reports and provide periodic client reports.
- Prepare yearly pre‑qualifications & small‑works roster applications.
- Assist in submitting bid documents, insurance certificates, bid bonds, performance/pay bonds and retainage bonds.
- Oversee subcontracts and contracts: signing, copy for A/R, scanning into Spectrum and sending back to GC/Owner.
- Excellent communicator with strong verbal, written and face‑to‑face skills.
- High level of intelligence, self‑confidence and ability to take on new tasks.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, Adobe, Outlook.
- Ability to work under deadlines and in stressful situations with grace.
- Independent problem‑solving skills.
- Positive attitude, punctuality and dependability.
- Meticulous accuracy and dedication to quality.
- Physical ability to file paperwork, access file cabinets and lift typical office materials.
- Pass pre‑employment drug test, ongoing random tests and background check.
- Clear and safe driving history over the past 3 years; able to operate a company vehicle if needed.
- Desire to build a career within the company.
- Ability to present self and company in a positive manner.
- Job Preferences: Two‑ or four‑year college degree preferred; 3+ years of similar experience in a construction company; basic understanding of the construction project lifecycle.
Hourly pay: $28.85–$31.25. Annual salary range: $60,000–$65,000. Non‑exempt position eligible for overtime. 401(k) with annual company match dependent on profits. 100% company‑paid medical for employee and dependents. Paid vacation, sick leave, AFLAC, Section 125 cafeteria plan. Business casual dress code.
Work Schedule & LocationMonday‑Friday, 7:00 am–4:00 pm (8 hour shift). In‑person work in Spokane, WA. Commute to Spokane, WA 99202 required.
