Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Responsibilities
- Manages and directs operational activities for assigned functional areas.
- First‑level leadership; leads daily team activities and planning contributions.
- Maintains quality service and effective operations for internal and external customers.
- Drives results through effective management of non‑exempt staff.
- Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Partners in reviewing and recommending operational systems and procedures for assigned units.
- Adapts to change and embraces new technology that supports the bank’s vision and business strategy.
- Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations, keeps up to date on regulation changes, and follows all policies and procedures.
- Completes required annual and job‑specific training.
- May coach, mentor, or train others and serve as a subject‑matter expert.
- Fosters the Columbia corporate culture and serves as a positive example for others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Manages and provides direction of the operational activities for assigned functional areas. Acts as first‑level leadership with a focus on daily team activities and planning contributions. Maintains quality service and effective operations and support for all assigned internal and external customers. Drives results through the effective management of non‑exempt staff. Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Partners in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures affecting assigned units. Adapts to change and embraces new technology that supports the bank’s vision and business strategy. Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for the assigned job function and applies knowledge gained through coursework and on‑the‑job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes and follows all bank policies and procedures, including those related to the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, and Bank Security.
MAY BE ASKED TO COACH, MENTOR, OR TRAIN OTHERS AND TEACH COURSEWORK AS SUBJECT‑MATER EXPERT. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words. Takes personal initiative and serves as a positive example for others to emulate. May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- H.S. Diploma/GED (preferred);
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (preferred). - 4-7 years of operations experience in the financial services industry (required).
- 3+ years of supervisory/management experience (required).
- Strong knowledge of operational functions, systems, policies and procedures for the assigned area.
- Good organizational, managerial, and project management skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of banking operations and human resources.
- Proven well‑developed customer relations skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Pay$70,000.00 - $. Pay rate depends on several factors including job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation.
Location12812 N Addison Street, Spokane, WA 99218. Ability to work fully onsite at the posted location(s).

Benefit eligibility begins the first day of the month following the date of hire for associates who are regularly scheduled to work at least thirty hours weekly.
