Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead capital construction and facility improvement projects for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Spokane, WA. The ideal candidate will manage projects from planning through commissioning while ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with GMP, FDA, and safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, biologics, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead capital construction, facility expansion, and infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resources, and contractor performance.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Automation, and EHS teams.
  • Oversee construction activities within active GMP manufacturing environments with minimal operational disruption.
  • Manage contractors, subcontractors, engineering firms, and equipment vendors.
  • Support design reviews, constructability assessments, shutdown planning, equipment installation, startup, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Drive project reporting, stakeholder communication, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support Commissioning, Qualification & Validation (CQV), change control, and project handoff to operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related technical field.
  • 7+ years of Construction/Capital Project Management experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, biologics, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience managing capital projects, facility upgrades, equipment installations, and construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, project scheduling, budgeting, contractor management, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting sterile manufacturing, biologics, vaccines, injectable products, or CDMO facilities.
  • Knowledge of clean rooms, HVAC, WFI, clean steam, process utilities, and facility infrastructure.
  • Experience with Commissioning, Qualification & Validation (CQV).
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Experience managing $1M $50M+ capital projects.
