Job DescriptionPerformance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee‑owned organization as an entry‑level Associate Project Engineer for its Spokane 554 operations based in Spokane, WA
. The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI, offering hands‑on experience in project management and estimating and setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.
- Conduct safety meetings
- Create and manage punch lists
- Support the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI’s QA/QC program
- Prepare RFIs and submittals
- Manage labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
- Perform quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
- Support the implementation of the job schedule
- Coordinate warranties and O&M schedules
- Coordinate materials with purchase orders and invoicing
- Maintain a safety-sensitive focus throughout all responsibilities

Basic Requirements- Must have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction engineering, construction science, or comparable work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
- Clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as taught
- Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
- Critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to multitask
- Motivated self‑starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
- Works well under pressure and meets deadlines
- OSHA certifications
- Willingness to travel/relocate based on project needs
