    About the Role

    We are seeking a motivated Construction Project Engineer to support project management and field operations on commercial and public works construction projects. This is a construction support role and does not require professional engineering licensure.

    The Project Engineer assists with documentation, coordination, cost tracking, and communication to help keep projects organized, compliant, and on schedule. This role is well-suited for candidates seeking growth into a Project Manager position.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Support Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination
    • Assist with project setup, document control, and job file organization
    • Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes
    • Assist with quantity tracking, cost logs, and budget updates
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and field staff
    • Maintain project schedules, logs, and status reports
    • Assist with prevailing wage, certified payroll, and compliance documentation
    • Support project closeout documentation and turnover packages
    Qualifications
    • 1–3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or engineering support
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    Preferred Experience
    • Commercial or public works construction experience
    • Exposure to prevailing wage and certified payroll projects
    • Experience with construction software (e.g., Procore, Foundation, Bluebeam)
    • Background in construction management, engineering technology, or related field
