A well-established Pacific Northwest general contractor is confidentially hiring a Superintendent to lead healthcare special projects throughout the Spokane area.

This is one of the company’s highest-priority openings, and qualified candidates are actively being interviewed. The role is ideal for a hands‑on superintendent with experience managing smaller, technically complex projects inside hospitals, medical office buildings, clinics, and other active healthcare environments.

Projects will generally range from approximately $1 million to $5 million and may include renovations, additions, tenant improvements, equipment replacements, phased work, and other special projects within occupied facilities.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead day-to-day field operations from mobilization through closeout
  • Manage healthcare renovation, addition, and special-project work ranging from $1 million to $5 million
  • Coordinate subcontractors, manpower, site logistics, safety, quality, and scheduling
  • Work closely with hospital representatives, facility teams, architects, engineers, and Project Management
  • Develop and manage short-term schedules and two- to six-week lookaheads
  • Coordinate shutdowns, utility tie-ins, temporary conditions, and phased construction
  • Maintain safe and clean work areas within occupied healthcare environments
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project expectations
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and construction documents
  • Identify field conflicts early and develop practical solutions
  • Oversee inspections, punch-list completion, turnover, and closeout documentation
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and project records
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent
  • Previous healthcare construction experience strongly preferred
  • Experience managing commercial projects ranging from approximately $1 million to $5 million
  • Experience completing renovations or special projects within occupied facilities
  • Five to ten years of journeyman-level craft experience preferred
  • High school diploma and completion of an apprenticeship program, or equivalent field experience
  • Strong understanding of construction safety, quality control, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
  • Experience with alternative delivery methods, including GC/CM and Design-Build
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with owners, trade partners, and project teams

Experience with K‑12 or higher‑education construction will also be considered.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary of $105,000–$175,000, depending on experience
  • Annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance
  • Company truck provided when serving as the lead Superintendent
  • Relocation assistance available

  • 401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match of up to 6%
  • Two to three weeks of vacation, depending on experience
  • Nine paid holidays
  • Service awards and employee-recognition programs
  • Company philanthropy and volunteer opportunities
  • Team events and company celebrations throughout the year
Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • High-priority position with an active interview process
  • Strong local project pipeline
  • Opportunity to lead meaningful healthcare projects without continuous national travel
  • Competitive compensation and exceptional family benefits
  • Relocation support for qualified candidates moving to Spokane
