Project Engineer
,youwillprovidecriticalsupportthroughoutallphasesofcommercialconstructionprojects,helpingensureprojectsarecompletedsafely,efficiently,andto

Baker’shighstandards.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting Project Managerswithprojectplanning ,scheduling,coordination,and execution.
• Assistingwithsubcontractorbuyouts,scope reviews,andprocurementactivities.
• Preparingquantitytakeoffs,bidpackages,preliminary estimates,andcostevaluations.
• ManagingprojectdocumentationincludingRFIs,submittals,change orders,meeting minutes,andcloseoutdocuments.
• Coordinatingwitharchitects,engineers,owners,subcontractors,andfieldteamstoresolveprojectissues.
• Reviewingshopdrawings,productsubmittals,andconstructiondocumentsforcomplianceandconstructability.
• Assistingwithprojectstartup,including
  
  Procoresetup,contract documentation,permits,andprojectlogs.
• Supportingqualitycontroleffortsthroughinspections,documentation,andcoordinationwithprojectteams.
• Assistingwithjobsitesafetydocumentationandsupporting Baker’ssafetyculture.
• Helpingmonitorprojectcostsandidentifyingopportunitiesforimprovedefficiencyandvalue.

• Bachelor’sdegreein
  
  Construction
  
  Management,Construction Engineering,orarelatedfieldpreferred;equivalentcommercialconstructionexperienceconsidered.
• 3+yearsofexperiencewithacommercialgeneralcontractorpreferred.
• Understandingofcommercialconstructionmethods,materials,scheduling,estimating,andcontractdocuments.
• Abilitytoreadandinterpretconstructiondrawings,specifications,andplans.
• Strongorganizationalskillsandattentiontodetail.
• Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
• Abilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesinafast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with
  Procore,Bluebeam,Microsoft Office Suite ,and Microsoft Project preferred.
  
  Experience with On-Screen Takeoff,Acumatica,orsimilarconstructionsoftwareisaplus.
• Self-starterwithstrongproblem-solvingskillsandadesiretocontinuelearningandgrowingwithintheconstructionindustry.

Intheoffice,youwillfrequentlyutilizestandardbusinesstechnology,includingcomputers,telecommunications,anddocumentmanagementsystems.

Whenvisitingorworkingon-site,youmaybeexposedtomoreruggedconditions,including:

• Industrial Elements:Worknearmovingmechanicalequipment,construction materials,andactiveprojectoperations.
• External Conditions:Tasksmaybeperformedoutdoorsinvaryingweatherconditions,including heat,cold,and precipitation.
• Acoustics:Noiselevelsatprojectsitescanrangefrommoderatetoloud.

Toperformtheessentialfunctionsofthisposition,thefollowingphysicalcapabilitiesarenecessary:

• Movement:Frequent sitting,standing,walking,andnavigatingactiveconstructionsites.
  
  Occasional climbing,balancing,stooping,kneeling,orcrawlingmayberequired.
• Coordination:Regularuseofhandsandarmstooperatecomputers,handle documents,andinteractwithconstructionmaterialsandequipment.
• Strength:Abilitytoliftandcarryupto
  25poundsoccasionally.
• Sensory Perception:Abilitytocommunicateclearly,hear instructions,andobserveconstructionactivities.
