Job Duties
Perform constructability review of plans and specifications to determine practicability from a construction viewpoint.
Participate in or, when directed, conducting site showings and pre-construction conferences.
Review contractor's proposed working schedules for logic, adequacy and to determine construction schedules will be met.
Research requests for information (RFis), answers as appropriate and recommends changes in design to cope with at-the-site conditions.
Provide field measurements, computations and cost estimates, and first-hand information of site conditions, for use by office engineers in preparing contract modifications.
Prepare punch sheet on final inspections of completed contracts and providing technical verification for transfer documents.
Ensure strict adherence to safety provisions of the contract.
Review as-built drawings to ensure changes in plans and specifications have been accurately noted.
