SCOPEOF WORK
The Worship Director at Real Life Spokane is our point leader for our worship and production ministry at Real Life. This role is essential to the strength and health of our church. Recruiting and team building create an opportunity for hundreds of people to experience Jesus in our kids, youth and adult services weekly. Our Worship Director will lead the way in creating a team of teams that makes our worship experiences powerful and impactful.
This role is a fun and unique role at Real Life because you will get to work with so many musicians and artists and create a culture together.
- First and foremost, our Worship Director will be a committed and professing believer in Jesus Christ, of good character and conduct, consistently seeking to honor the Lord in their life and ministry. This is a person of integrity who is rigorously honest in all aspects of life.
- The Worship Director will develop a strong sense of call to the role, and be in alignment and agreement with the beliefs, values, and mission of Real Life.
- The Worship Director must be passionate about making disciples and committed to leading small groups personally.
- The Worship Director will need to present a friendly, approachable manner to the staff, volunteers, church, and the public.
- The Worship Director will need the capacity to learn on the job and leverage all resources to keep growing and learning.
- The Worship Director must be able to interact with staff and volunteers in an honest and encouraging manner.
- What we need from you: to bring a bunch of smiles, to love people, to be great on the phone, to be able to lead multiple volunteers and teams of volunteers, to have strong computer skills, to have lots of energy, to be an amazing worship leader, to be well versed in current worship trends, to be creative in song and set selection, to be able to keep a tight schedule, to maintain appropriate confidentiality and to have the ability to focus without anyone breathing down your neck.

THE ROLE
- Demonstrate accountability and emotional and spiritual support of others.
- Be coachable and demonstrate the ability to speak and receive critical feedback.
- Actively participate in team meetings and discussions.
- Represent Christ and the Church in the community in a godly way.
- Adhere to the expectations of the family commitment found in 101 and 201.
- Participate in All-Church functions that may fall outside of the specific job description.

- Attend weekly and monthly staff meetings and trainings and participate in discussions and collaborative activities.
- Attend all Sunday services and connect with people between each service.
TEAM LEADER SHIP
- Cast Vision regularly for individual and team discipleship.
- Create personal growth plans for leaders on your teams and coach them to success.
- Invest in current and future leaders, making sure they are supported and encouraged.
- Recruit musicians and vocalists.
- Plan and execute powerful adult worship services and programs.
- Support youth and kids worship as a tool for developing musicians and vocalist.
- Develop teams of volunteers for all services and events.
- Ensure the entire team is aligned with Real Life’s mission, strategy and values.
- Cast Vision regularly for the tech team’s role in worship.
- Align the sound and look of the RL vision for worship through the tech team’s execution.
- Recruit, schedule and train tech team members.
- Raise up a tech director to take on the tech role (1-2 years)
