Position: New Member Experience Lead (Volunteer)
Location: Spokane Valley

Be the first face new members see — and the reason they stay

th, we’re connecting founders, investors, policymakers, and climate operators across 100+ countries and 90+ city hubs to accelerate real-world climate solutions.

We’re looking for a warm, proactive New Member Experience Lead to own the first 30 days of every member journey and turn sign-ups into active participants.

Time Commitment: 5+ hours/week

Location: Remote

About This Opportunity

You’ll ensure every new member feels welcomed, connected, and activated within their first week.

New Member Activation
  • Respond to intro posts with thoughtful, personalized replies
  • Connect new members with relevant existing members
  • Send tailored welcome DMs within 72 hours
  • Guide each member toward a clear next step
  • Track and improve intro engagement rates
Day 7–10 Reactivation
  • Follow up with inactive new members
  • Send tailored nudges based on their interests
  • Track engagement and identify drop-offs
  • Maintain a simple activation tracker
  • Flag high-potential members for deeper engagement
Onboarding Improvement
  • Test and improve onboarding messaging
  • Suggest improvements to welcome flows
  • Identify patterns in activation vs drop-off
  • Represent the new member perspective internally
  • Help refine the 14-day activation journey
