Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) who is looking for long-term growth, thrives in a collaborative environment, and brings a positive, team-oriented mindset. This role is ideal for a self-starter with leadership qualities who is passionate about patient care and clinical excellence.
Schedule- Wednesday: 1:30 PM – 8:00 PM
- Friday (every other): 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Saturdays (1st, 2nd, & 3rd of the month): 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Prepare and set up treatment rooms in accordance with clinical protocols
- Welcome, seat, and prepare patients for treatment while ensuring comfort
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining efficiency
- Select, mix, and place dental materials as appropriate within EFDA scope
- Take digital X-rays and impressions
- Fabricate temporary restorations and polish removable appliances
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-operative care
- Accurately document treatment plans and clinical notes in patient records
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards
- Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Support a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience
- Active Dental Assistant registration in the state of Washington (required)
- Active EFDA license in the state of Washington (required)
- Current enrollment in seven clock hours of AIDS education and training (required)
- Prior dental assisting experience required
- Strong understanding of dental procedures, materials, and clinical workflows
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
