Overview
Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join our Washington practice. The team specializes in providing comprehensive behavioral health services for adults and geriatrics residing in Skilled Nursing Facilities and through Outpatient Telehealth.

Job SummaryAs a Regional Psychiatrist, you will oversee the psychiatric clinical programs in Washington and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. You will conduct evaluations and assessments for new patients in our partner facilities. The successful candidate will assess and treat psychiatric disorders, develop care plans, and communicate effectively with nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Duties/Responsibilities- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide medication management by evaluating effectiveness and side effects, prescribing medications, and adjusting dosages as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, including progress notes, treatment plans, and diagnosis codes.
- Provide clinical oversight and review of medical documentation created by PMHNPs servicing the Washington and Idaho practice.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in treatment team meetings to update on patient progress and coordinate care.
- Attend training and continuing education to stay current on best practices and new research in psychiatry.

Requirements- Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry and two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric facility.
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Licensure as a physician in the applicable state.
- Licensed by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances.
- Possession of a valid state driver’s license may be required.
- Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry; hospital and clinic organization, management, and procedures.
- Ability to diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients.
- Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action.
- Ability to prepare records and reports.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.
