Quick Facts:
- Location: 800 West 5th Avenue, Spokane, WA 99204
- Start Date: 08/11/2026
- End Date/Duration: 10-14 days per month (including weekends)
- Shift: 7am-5pm, with weekday night call 5pm-7am
- Hours/week: Variable, approximately 10-14 days/month
- Employment Type: Contractor/Per diem
- Licensure/Certs: Active medical license in Washington, board-certified or eligible in thoracic surgery
- Experience: 2+ years in relevant procedures, minimally invasive mitral and aortic valve conservation preferred
- Pay rate: $1.00/hour (please note this is a placeholder; actual pay will be discussed upon application)

- Provide thoracic surgical coverage including minimally invasive mitral procedures and aortic valve conservation
- Support a facility s cardiovascular surgical team during planned coverage days
- Participate in weekday and weekend call rotation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Manage perioperative patient care and assist with surgical procedures as needed
- Comply with all facility policies and safety standards
Required:
- Valid medical license in Washington
- Certification in thoracic surgery (board-certified or eligible)
- At least 2 years of post-training experience
- Strong clinical skills in minimally invasive and structural heart procedures
- Experience with Impella support devices
- Eligibility for locum tenens or temporary placement
