• Credentialing time frame: 60-90 days; clean history can qualify for expedited privileges

• Schedule:
  
  7am-5pm
• Call: 5pm-7am
• Weekend call:
  Friday 5pm-Monday 7am
• Call rotation:
  Every third day during the week and every fourth weekend

• Beeper call
• Call response time required: 30min
• Call Ratio: 1/3

• Minimum board certification:
  Board Eligible
• Licensed in Washington or IMLC
• BLS

• Procedures include robotic lobectomy and thymectomy using the Da Vinci Xi Robot, coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic valve replacement/TAVR procedures, mitral valve repair and replacement, thoracotomy and VATS procedures, left ventricular assist device implantation, aortic dissection repair, and ECMO
• PA responsibilities include morning rounds, daily progress notes, medication management, ordering labs and studies, consults, histories and physicals, discharge summaries, chest tube management and removal, multidisciplinary rounds, postoperative clinic, first assisting in procedures, endoscopic vein and radial harvesting, postoperative orders, and sternotomy closure per surgeon preference
• Weekday and weekend call coverage includes CCU calls, emergency case coverage, rounding, progress notes, chest tube management, and patient discharges
• Patient volume:
  Variable
• Support staff: 1 RN, 1 MA, 2 PAs, 1 office staff
• Facility Trauma Level: 3
• Cardiothoracic surgery rounding and discharge every morning; admits
• No clinic
• Locum will work in the OR and ICU and may see some patients in stepdown
• Practice consists of 4 surgeons and 4 PAs
