An established hospital-based cardiothoracic surgery program in the Pacific Northwest is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a long-term locum tenens opportunity.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative surgical team and work with a diverse mix of cardiac and thoracic cases in a busy inpatient environment.
Position HighlightsLong-term assignment with ongoing coverage needs
Full-time schedule with excellent continuity
First assist opportunity in a high-acuity CT surgery practice
Inpatient-only setting
Combination of OR, ICU, and post-operative patient management
Established multidisciplinary surgical team
Epic EMR
Travel and lodging assistance available for qualified providers
First assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures
ICU and inpatient management
Daily rounding and post-operative care
Admissions, consults, and discharge management
Participation in call rotation
Collaborative care with surgeons and advanced practice providers
Certified Physician Assistant (PA)
Recent Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
Strong first assist experience
Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) experience required
Experience managing CT surgery patients in an inpatient setting
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Active license preferred
We're seeking a provider who is comfortable functioning in a fast-paced CT surgery environment and can contribute immediately to patient care, surgical support, and post-operative management.
