OBGYN Hospitalist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced OB Hospitalist to join a high-acuity, high-autonomy practice in Spokane, WA. Providers will work within Multi Care Deaconess Hospital, managing complex obstetric care and providing true clinical independence. This dynamic environment offers the opportunity to handle diverse cases, including high-risk patients and advanced pathology.

Practice Info

• High-acuity, high-autonomy practice in Spokane, WA
• Work within Multi Care Deaconess Hospital, which services 1800 deliveries annually, with a level III NICU for advanced care
• Pediatrix OB Hospitalist team manages about 20% of total deliveries
• Fully inpatient role, with consistent exposure to complex, high-risk obstetric cases
• High-volume transport-in center serving Spokane and surrounding communities, with exposure to advanced pathology and antepartum admissions
• 24/7 OB Hospitalist coverage
• 5 physician hospitalist team
• Collaborative culture with strong subspecialty support
• Close partnership with Rockwood OBGYN and community health organizations with high-risk needs

Responsibilities

• Function as an independent provider, with duties including OB ED management, labor management and emergencies in addition to assisting providers as needed
• Management of unassigned and high-risk patients including Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) patients

Compensation

• Starting Pay Range (Base Pay): $160/hr

  Eligible full-time team members will receive a lump-sum grant of 70 hours or eight days, whichever is more beneficial to the team member, of paid sick leave each year on January 1

Shift & Schedule

• Open to part-time or full-time seeking candidates
• Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis

Requirements

• Must be comfortable practicing independently in a solo coverage model
• Strong procedural skillset and confidence in acute care scenarios
• Board eligible/certified in OB/GYN
