Job Summary
The School of Business at Eastern Washington University invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship beginning September 16, 2026
. Candidates will teach undergraduate and MBA courses, conduct high‑quality research in entrepreneurship or related fields, and contribute to the department’s service, curriculum development, and assessment activities.
The School, founded in 1965, offers AACSB‑accredited undergraduate majors—including Entrepreneurship, Management, International Business, and more—and a graduate MBA program. Located in the greater Spokane‑Cheney area, the School emphasizes experiential learning, community engagement, and innovative scholarship.

Required Qualifications- PhD or DBA in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, or a closely related business discipline from an AACSB‑accredited program; ABD candidates will be considered.
- Established record of peer‑reviewed research in entrepreneurship, strategy, or management; evidence of a promising research pipeline.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching in entrepreneurship and the ability to teach strategy and international business courses at undergraduate or graduate level.
- Experience teaching online courses.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and staff, and to apply inclusive teaching practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to service to the university, department, and the field of entrepreneurship.
- Authorization to work in the United States. The position does not sponsor visas.
- Record of publications in high‑quality entrepreneurship or strategy journals and presentations at major conferences.
- Excellent teaching in strategy, international business, and online instruction.
- Experience in curriculum development and professional service to the field.
- Teach a full complement of undergraduate and MBA entrepreneurship courses, with an additional focus on strategy and international business as needed.
- Develop and revise curricula, course materials, and assessments in line with AACSB standards.
- Advising, mentoring, and supervising students, including faculty‑mentored projects and research.
- Conduct independent research with the goal of publishing in high‑impact journals and obtaining external funding.
- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees; participate in professional organizations.
- Maintain professional development activities and contribute to the university’s mission of inclusive excellence.
