* Summary:

** In this position, you will support the Kogod School of Business Student Development team with event coordination, student engagement initiatives, and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be a current graduate student with strong organizational, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop leadership and professional skills while making a meaningful impact on the student experience for Kogod students. Additional duties include general event support, which may require flexibility for evenings and weekends.

* Essential Functions:

*** Assist in planning, execution, and assessment of events including new student orientation, various cultural and educational programs, and support of clubs, case competition, digital badging, and more.
* Collaborate with other Kogod and AU offices/departments for student engagement programs.
* Conduct informational tabling in the Kogod building to promote events and resources.
* Support student outreach efforts through email, social media, and other outlets.
* Assist with the management of the Kogod Connect platform (Suitable app).
* Add and update events and activities.
* Develop and update badges and achievement systems.
* Attend weekly Student Development team meetings.
* Support special projects at the request of the Associate Director.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
** Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
*** Part-time.
* 7 - 10 hours per week.
** Salary Range:*** $17.95 - $18.50 per hour.

Education and Experience:

*** Must be a current graduate student at American University in good academic standing.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
* Strong organizational and time management abilities.
* Ability to work independently/collaboratively and manage multiple tasks.
** Preferred

Education and Experience:

*** Enrolled in a Kogod academic program.
* Enrolled through Spring 2027.
* Experience using Canva and/or the Kogod Connect (Suitable) platform.
