Elementary Art Teacher

Position Type:
Certified Teacher / Teacher, Elementary.
Grades: K‑5.
FTE: 1.0.
Contract: Continuing.
Salary: $68,707 – $135,620 per year (2025‑26 SVEA Salary Schedule; 2026‑27 TBD).
Anticipated start date: August 19, 2026.

Responsibilities: The Elementary Art Teacher works across two school buildings, providing high‑quality visual arts instruction that aligns with Washington State Arts Learning Standards and the district’s School Improvement Plans. The teacher engages students across learning styles, develops 21st‑century skills such as creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, and balances schedules and resources across multiple sites. The role is shared between two schools, serving students on an alternate‑week rotation schedule.

Qualifications: Valid Washington State teaching certificate with art endorsement, or the ability to obtain the endorsement within one year.
