This is an Ameri Corps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Gonzaga's Center for Community Engagement works with local schools and organizations to serve youth. We recognize that youth often face barriers that keep them from achieving their goals. Our after school programs address this by providing academic, social, and emotional support. College students mentor program participants to increase their engagement, achievement, and readiness for college or career.

The member will implement and support after-school programming for participating youth in alignment with project and program goals. The member will also help recruit, train, and support Gonzaga college student volunteer mentors and leaders. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in early - mid June. Member Duties :
The Youth Programs Education Coordinator supports partnerships and programming provided by Gonzaga at partner schools and sites. They will tutor and provide additional academic support to individual and small groups of students; train and support college student mentors; create educational and outreach materials; collect data to measure program impact; collaborate with community partners, especially schools, to ensure program success.
