Middle School Algebra I Teacher (part-time)
Position OverviewThe Middle School Algebra I teacher leads students in a rich and integrated study of mathematics through the lens of a Catholic vision of reality. Rooted in the understanding that all reality is God’s creation, the teacher guides students to behold the universe as a rational, ordered, and meaningful whole that reflects the wisdom and generosity of its Creator.
Responsibilities- Design and implement Algebra I lessons aligned with the school’s Catholic classical curriculum.
- Create a classroom environment characterized by order, joy, and intellectual seriousness.
- Communicate effectively with parents and school leadership.
- Collaborate with faculty to support the school’s mission and Catholic identity.
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, science, philosophy, natural philosophy, education, or related field
- Commitment to living and teaching in fidelity to the Catholic faith
- Strong understanding of Catholic theology and classical education
- Washington State Teaching Certificate preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Experience teaching middle school preferred
- Demonstrated love for mathematics, intellectual inquiry, and the formation of young minds and hearts
This position will be part-time (.2 FTE), beginning August 24, 2026, and may include attendance to some staff meetings or teacher in-services.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $9,071-$15,890 (Salary dependent on applicant’s skills and relevant experience, degrees and certifications.)
Part-Time Benefits:
Sick Leave, One Personal Day, Employee Paid Retirement Plan 403(b), Employer Paid Retirement Plan 401(a) of 6% after one year of employment and 1,000 hours, and 21 years of age.
