The Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (CSEE) at Eastern Washington University (EWU) invites applications for a lecturer position to begin September 2026. The role will teach introductory undergraduate courses in Computer Science and Cybersecurity, including CS1 (Java), CS2 (Java), C & Unix Programming, and Cybersecurity Fundamentals.

• MS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching.
• Proven ability to apply a culturally responsive and flexible teaching approach that supports diverse student needs.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Pass a comprehensive background check.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship for work visas.
• Compliance with EWU Immunization Policy and proof of MMR vaccination.

• College‑level teaching experience with strong student evaluations.

• University funds accountability and supervision of students under 16.
• Background check and security clearance requirements.
• Vaccination compliance.
• Required training via Canvas and Workplace Belonging training.
• Interview may be conducted via Zoom; candidates must demonstrate competence with video technology.

• Teach undergraduate courses and assess student learning.
• Attend all scheduled classes.
• Plan, organize, and communicate course content, texts, readings, assignments, attendance regulations, and grading methods.

• Submit grades per established deadlines.
• Engage in professional development and participate in a 45‑credit workload per academic year (to be determined at hire).
