Mathematics Instructor - Adjunct - Spokane Community College
Location:
Spokane CC Main Campus, Spokane
Department: SCC Mathematics
Starting salary: $42.05 - $89.48 per hour based on workload category.
Position:
Adjunct (part‑time), pro‑rated compensation based on assigned workload.
Spokane Community College serves 15,000 students with career‑technical, liberal arts, and adult education programs in Spokane and surrounding rural communities.
Responsibilities- Prepare for and instruct Mathematics classes in person, hybrid, or online.
- Provide student availability through office hours, email, and other responsive communication.
- Communicate expectations, establish grading criteria, and develop course syllabi, handouts, and instructional materials.
- Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback.
- Comply with applicable state and federal laws and institutional procedures regarding grading, printing, student safety, and related administrative processes.
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field with graduate‑level math coursework.
- Experience teaching Mathematics.
- Commitment to fostering and supporting student success.
- Understanding and acceptance of the mission, values, goals, and objectives of SCC.
