About the Position
Adjunct faculty salary for the 2026–2027 fiscal year is $1,165.00–$1,189.00 per credit hour. South Puget Sound Community College seeks applications for Adjunct or Part-Time Faculty to teach in the Nursing Assistant (NA) program.

- Design and facilitate contextualized, integrated learning experiences aligned with identified college pathways and nursing career goals.
- Develop and implement authentic assessments that measure students’ knowledge, skills and abilities in nursing and are aligned with course, program and college‑wide learning outcomes.
- Evaluate student learning in classroom, laboratory and clinical environments.
- Apply a variety of evidence‑based teaching and learning strategies that support affective, cognitive and psychomotor domains.
- Provide academic and student support both in and out of the classroom, including referring students to appropriate campus services and resources.
- Maintain availability to teach courses on a variety of days and times, primarily during pre‑arranged schedules that meet program needs.
- Select and prepare appropriate clinical client assignments for students prior to scheduled clinical days.
- Communicate clearly and constructively with students regarding strengths, areas for growth and progress toward learning outcomes.
- Implement the curriculum as designed and approved, and provide timely feedback to program faculty on its effectiveness and implementation.
- Proctor examinations and other assessments as outlined in the course syllabus and program requirements.
- Uphold all professional responsibilities and ethical obligations as a Registered Nurse with particular emphasis on client and public safety in the clinical setting.
- Contribute to the technical and general education of students preparing for employment in healthcare and/or transfer to a university.
- Demonstrate multicultural competence, including awareness and understanding of historically marginalized and underserved populations.

Minimum Qualifications- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Three (3) years of professional experience in the subject area taught.
- At least one (1) year within the past three years of direct patient care experience with elderly individuals, chronically ill individuals of any age or both.
- Experience serving in a mentoring, precepting, clinical instruction, adjunct faculty or leadership role with pre‑certification nursing assistants, pre‑licensure nursing students and/or newly licensed graduate nurses.
