School Psychologist
Under the general supervision of the Special Services Director, assess students' intellectual and mental functional levels; provide information for program development and student placement; develop behavior plans; and provide information on child development and/or issues on specific students to instructional personnel. The School Psychologist is also part of the District Evaluation/Assessment Team and is responsible for the evaluation of new referral students.
Work is performed in a school environment with frequent interaction with students, staff, families, and community agencies. The position requires travel between district buildings and attendance at meetings or trainings outside the regular school day. The School Psychologist may experience exposure to challenging student behaviors, crisis situations, and emotionally sensitive information requiring professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Duties may include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer use, and the ability to move materials related to assessments and instructional supports.

Terms of employment:
Salary and work year to be determined by the negotiated agreement, subject to the needs of the District. Verification of identity and United States work authorization must be completed before employment commences. The successful candidate for this position must complete a fingerprinted background check with the Washington State Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Employment is contingent upon clearance of the background check.
