We invite you to join the team and be a part of this vibrant environment! We are seeking an assistant teacher for our 2.5 - 3-year-olds preschool class. This position is Monday–Friday, there are different shifts available as we are open from 7 AM to 6 PM with the 8:15 am to 12 PM shift being the current highest need. We are open year-round, except holidays.

An assistant teacher must meet the following qualifications:

• Be at least eighteen years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent; and complete the applicable preservice requirements.
• Have an ECE initial certificate or equivalent as approved and verified in the electronic workforce registry by the department within five years from being employed or promoted into this position at any licensed early learning program.
• Progress towards an ECE short certificate or equivalent. An assistant teacher must have an ECE short certificate within two years of receiving an ECE initial certificate, or seven years from being employed or promoted into this position at any licensed early learning program.
• Have their professional development progress documented annually.
• Previous learning center/daycare experience.

• A love and talent for working with young children while sharing a love of the Lord.
• Follow a daily schedule as determined by curriculum and the lead teacher.
• Maintain a positive, consistent and nurturing environment.
• Communicate with lead teacher about each child’s development.
• Sustain a clean and safe classroom environment.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with lead teacher and other assistants as a team.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast‑paced environment.
